The Danske Bank Women's Premiership continues tonight as we preview all the matches in gameweek nine of the 2019 campaign.
Comber Rec. Ladies v Cliftonville Ladies (venue: Londonderry Park Park; kick-off 8pm)
Danske Bank Premiership basement side Comber Rec. Ladies will be hopeful of adding to their one point so far as they host a Cliftonville Ladies side who have lost three of their last four matches.
Winston Kerr is at the helm of his 105th competitive game for Comber and the boss has had plenty of successes as the club have risen up through the local pyramid and won last season's Championship but they are still looking for their first ever win in the top division.
Earlier this month, a penalty shootout cup victory over Derry was Comber's first victory against a Premiership side but they will be up against it against a Reds side who defeated them 7-0 at Solitude earlier this season.
A Marissa Callaghan hat-trick saw the North Belfast side breeze to victory on that occasion, with Amber Dempster on target twice while Rachel McConnell and Toni-Leigh Finnegan also found the net in the rout.
Crusaders Strikers v Sion Swifts Ladies (venue: Seaview; kick-off 8pm)
Crusaders Strikers have recorded back-to-back league victories for the first time this season but will be slight underdogs as they face an equally in-form Sion Swifts Ladies in North Belfast.
The County Tyrone side are unbeaten across their last nine matches in all competitions since an opening day 1-0 loss at Linfield and sit five points above the Crues in the standings.
Sion Swifts edged out the Crues 1-0 at the Melvin Park Arena in the meeting earlier in the season - Ciara Grant netted the only goal of the fixture. Indeed, the Strabane-based side have won the last three successive ties between the two and Crusaders have not beaten Sion in their last seven attempts.
Glentoran Women v. Derry City (venue: Ulidia Playing Fields; kick-off 8pm)
Glentoran will move top of the table above leaders Linfield - who do not play this week - if they can overcome the Candystripes at The Oval. The East Belfast side have a superior goal difference than the Blues already but will have played one game more.
The hosts will be favourites to make it five wins in a row across all competitions against Kevin McLaughlin’s side - who have still collected just one point in the league this campaign.
The Glens won the meeting earlier this season at the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium 7-0: Rachel Rogan netted twice while Kelly Bailie grabbed a brace with Aimee-Lee Peachey, Nadene Caldwell and Demi Vance also among the scorers.
The East Belfast side have won all eight previous meetings between the two clubs but Naomh Barr and Bronagh McGuinness are both available for selection for the visitors.
