A last gasp strike from Cliftonville player-manager Marissa Callaghan earned a point for the Reds away at Glentoran, in what could be a pivotal moment in the title race.

The result means the Glens lose valuable ground to league-leading Linfield, who are now five points clear at the top but have played one game more.

Striker Rachel Rogan had given the East Belfast side the lead at Ulidia Playing Fields on Wednesday night but Northern Ireland captain Callaghan struck late on to ensure the spoils were shared.

A closely-fought encounter was entertaining from the off - Glentoran’s Kelly Baillie saw an early effort saved before Billie Simpson’s shot for the visitors went over the bar.

Rogan’s goal ten minutes before the break had appeared to put the Glens on course for yet another league victory but Callaghan took advantage of a late parry from Glens goalkeeper Emma Higgins to earn a point.
