Crusaders Strikers welcomed Linfield Ladies to Seaview for another Belfast derby.

The first half passed off without much excitement, with very little to separate the two teams.

Crues 'keeper Kirsty McCaughtry was tested once, making a comfortable save from a Kirsty McGuinness shot.

The Strikers looked dangerous going forward too, a Linfield defender nipping in to make a last ditch tackle when it looked like Amy McGivern was through on goal about to pull the trigger.

Both teams lifted the tempo in the second half and started to enjoy more periods of play in attacking areas.

McGivern looked to set Alex Ogle clear from the Linfield defence, the Crues forward who is known for scoring spectacular goals, took her shot early failing to trouble the Linfield 'keeper.

McCaughtry made a comfortable save from a McGuinness free kick on the edge of the box with 20 minutes to go.

Crusaders battled hard giving the Linfield midfield no time on the ball, winning all the second balls. Mairead McCann did well to head a Linfield attempt from a corner off the line just before Caitlyn Hamilton had a chance up the other end, her fantastic effort from the edge of the box rising just over the crossbar.

The solid Crusaders defence looked like it was breached with less than ten minutes to go, McGuinness breaking away only for an excellent covering run by McNeill and a super last ditch tackle to keep the score level.

Crusaders had the final chance of the half, Ogle getting on the end of a Courtney Moore cut back in the area, but her left footed effort went straight at the Linfield 'keeper.
