Crusaders Strikers hosted their first home game of the season against Sion Swifts but, in the end, had to settle for a share of the spoils.

Sion started the brighter of the two teams with Aimee Mackin a constant threat running in behind. In the tenth minute she got away from the Crues defence and hit a rocket of a shot into the top corner, leaving keeper Kirsty McCaughtry with no chance.

Crusaders struggled to keep possession, and Sion almost doubled their lead, with Mackin again proving the main danger this time her effort going just wide of the post.

Crusaders equalised on 42 minutec, Celine Curtis hitting a half volley from the edge of the area high into the net. Another super finish by the Crusaders forward who proved to be match winner the previous week.

The majority of the second half was a bit of a stalemate, Crusaders were happy to concede possession in the Sion half and stay tight while trying to hit on the counter. Excellent defending from the Crusaders defence and midfield stopped the Sion attackers from creating any clear opportunities.
