REDS BAG SIX OF THE BEST TO CLINCH TITLE
Cliftonville Ladies produced a stunning performance to defeat Glentoran Women at Solitude and clinch the Sports Direct Women's Premiership title for the second time in three years.
The Reds moved in front on 20 minutes when Danielle Maxwell crossed for Kirsty McGuinness to nod home from close range.
Then, six minutes after that, Maxwell teed up Caitlin McGuinness to double Cliftonville's lead from the edge of the six yard box.
Maxwell got on the scoresheet herself on 42 minutes after she intercepted the ball, ran into the box and slammed a low finish past Ashleigh McKinnon.
Kirsty McGuinness extended Cliftonville's lead deep into first half stoppage time after she slipped into the box, went past McKinnon and slotted home from six yards.
Cliftonville didn't let up after the break, and added to their tally just short of the hour courtesy of a Marissa Callaghan spot-kick following a handball in the area.
And there was almost a sixth later in the second half with Maxwell again turning provider to play Caitlin McGuinness through but her finish was ruled out offside.
Katie Markey then completed the scoring a couple of minutes into added time after she pounced on the loose ball from Carla Devine's effort off the upright.
