BLUES GO GOAL CRAZY!
Linfield Women well and truly found their shooting boots to cruise to victory over Larne Women at Inver Park and secure third spot in the Sports Direct Women’s Premiership.
The Blues needed just 45 seconds to take the lead through Northern Ireland international Keri Halliday, with Eve Reilly doubling up on five minutes after taking the ball round keeper Cerys Sharkey.
Mia Fitzsimmons’ cross beat the keeper on nine minutes to extend Linfield’s advantage, with Cora Chambers adding to it after collecting a well timed cross.
Zoe Knox continued the scoring with a 34th minute 25-yard rocket, before Reilly got her second of the night with a tap in from a Chambers cross.
Chambers doubled her own tally early in the second half, and the league’s leading scoring bagged her hat-trick goal just before the hour after getting on the end of Zoe McGlynn’s cross.
Rhianna Breen knocked home Linfield’s ninth on 72 minutes before turning provider for Eva Myles to wrap the scoring up sixty seconds later.
