BLUES CLOSE GAP ON THIRD PLACE
Linfield Women closed the gap on third placed Lisburn Rangers with a three-goal victory at Crewe Park.
Abi Sweetlove opened the scoring early in the game with a stunning right-foot lob from just outside the centre circle over keeper Emma Higgins.
Keri Halliday doubled the visitors advantage late in the first half when she received the ball on the edge of the area, turned one way and then another, before firing past the outstretched Higgins low into the net.
And Halliday bagged her second of the evening to complete the scoring just before the hour with an effort from wide on the right that went in off the opposite post.
