GLENS GRAB LATE WINNER
Glentoran Women bagged a late, late winner to defeat derby rivals Linfield Women at Midgley Park.
Although scoreless at the break, Linfield could have gone in at half-time two goals to the good only to strike the woodwork twice through Keri Halliday and Cora Chambers.
However, the deadlock was broken midway through the second half in favour of the visitors when Aimee Kerr rounded off a great team move.
It was a lead the defending champions held until two minutes into stoppage time when Alexandra Clarke levelled for the Blues.
But, just when it looked like the game would end all square, up popped substitute Jenna McKearney in the 94th minute to restore Glentoran's lead and claim what could prove to be a very valuable three points.
