DERBY DELIGHT FOR REDS
A goal in each half helped Cliftonville Ladies claim derby success over Crusaders Strikers at Solitude.
Victoria Carleton edged the Reds in front on 36 minutes. Marissa Callaghan picked out Danielle Maxwell who, in turn, crossed for Carleton to smash the ball into the net from the edge of the six-yard box.
It was a slender lead in a keenly fought encounter, but Cliftonville made sure four minutes from time after Caitlin McGuinness collected the ball and showed great composure to go around keeper Maddy Harvey-Clifford and slot into the net from around 15 yards.
