GLENS NOW NINE CLEAR
Glentoran Women stormed to a comprehensive defeat of Ballymena United Women to move nine points clear at the top of the Sports Direct Women Premiership.
The Glens got off to a great start when Joely Andrews opened the scoring inside the first minute, with Emily Wilson following up ten minutes after that.
Kerry Beattie added a third on 17 minutes with a header after Nadene Caldwell's initial effort came back off the crossbar before Andrews knocked home her second of the night following a good passing move.
Wilson then hit her second just before the break for the dominant Glens, while Beattie then bagged her brace with a spot-kick early in the second half.
The scoring continued when Megan Neil headed home number seven followed swiftly by Beattie's hat-trick goal after combining in a one-two with Andrews.
Demi Vance was next to get her name on the scoresheet, with Chloe McCarron and Rachel Rogan adding to the tally as the game progressed.
