MOORE DOUBLE STEERS BLUES TO THE POINTS
Mia Moore hit two goals as Linfield Women came from a goal down to defeat Derry City Women at Midgley Park.
The Candystripes moved in front with just seven minutes on the clock when Ellie Redden collected the ball in midfield and struck high into the top right hand corner of the home goal.
Despite considerable pressure it took the Blues until just before the half-hour mark to level when Moore tucked home Keri Halliday cross.
Derry were reduced to ten players late in the half when Kaci Deery was dismissed for a challenge on Moore - and it was Moore herself that went on to punish the visitors during the opening exchanges of the second half after carving herself through the defence and giving Naomh Barr no chance at the near post.
The visitors, despite their numerical disadvantage, worked hard to frustrate the Linfield attack.
The Blues did have two further goals ruled out before, with seven minutes remaining, Carla Devine popped up at the back post to tuck away a low cross from the left.
