BEATTIE BAGS GLENTORAN HAT-TRICK
Kerry Beattie bagged a hat-trick as lead Glentoran Women swept to victory over third placed Sion Swifts Ladies at Ashfield.
The league's leading scorer opened the scoring as early as the first minute after being teed up by Emily Wilson before doubling up with her second of the evening as early as the fifth minute.
Zoe McGlynn pulled one back for the visitors on 12 minutes, but their hopes of earning something from the game were dealt a blow late in the first half when Cora Chambers was dismissed for dissent.
And Sion's task became even more daunting early in the second half after Lauren Haynes appeared to get the last touch to turn the ball into her own net as she attempted to deal with a corner under pressure from Emma McMaster.
Then, in stoppage time, it fell to Beattie to complete the scoring and claim another match ball.
