SIX IN A ROW FOR STRIKERS
Crusaders Strikers made it six league wins in a row with a three-goal defeat of Mid Ulster Ladies at Seaview.
A scrappy opening period saw both teams cancel each other our although Strikers' Faith Johnston did enjoy a number of chances couldn't find a way past keeper Lilie Crooks.
The deadlock was finally broken four minutes from half-time when Leah McEvoy sprinted down the right wing and cut in with low shot past Crooks into the corner.
Then, in first half stoppage time, Julie Nelson followed up on great work by Nicole Caldwell to beat Crooks for Strikers' second goal of the evening.
Crusaders grew stronger and more confident in the second half. McEvoy continued to find space and made great runs down the right, duly setting Mairead McCann up to complete the scoring on 68 minutes with a volley into the net.
