LISBURN STUN THE STRIKERS
Lisburn Ladies picked up their third win of the campaign with a narrow defeat of Crusaders Strikers at Seaview.
The Crues might have found a way through as early as the third minute but Leah McEvoy was unlucky to see her effort come back off the crossbar.
At the other end Michelle McDaid's run and shot - subsequently saved by Maddy Harvey-Clifford - was Lisburn's most promising opening in an otherwise cagey first half.
As the game progressed the visitors grew in confidence was Danni Jennings proving a particular threat with a succession of crosses creating chances for Stacey Murdough and McEvoy albeit to no avail.
However, the visitors eventually broke the deadlock with just over ten minutes remaining when Aisling Cull, only on the pitch a matter of minutes, beat the advancing Harvey-Clifford to slot the ball home.
