FIVE STAR BLUES CLINCH MIDGLEY WIN
Linfield Women swept to a five-goal defeat of Ballymena United Women at Midgley Park.
The Blues opened the scoring on nine minutes when Keri Halliday followed on from her hat-trick from last week with a volley past keeper Lucy Winton.
Rachel Kerr added a second midway through the first half with a lob to finish off a good team move before, on the stroke of half-time, Emily Reid added a third not long after hitting the crossbar.
Rhyleigh Marks, one of a raft of substitutes just before the hour, added a fourth on 66 minutes with Sarah Jane McMaster wrapping things up with five minutes to go from the edge of the box.
