SEVENTH HEAVEN FOR SION
Sion Swifts Ladies found their shooting boots with a comprehensive defeat of newly promoted Larne Women at the Melvin Sports Complex.
Sion got off to a quick start when Cora Chambers opened the scoring with a neat finish on six minutes.
Kerry Brown doubled their advantage midway through the first half, before Chambers bagged her second on the afternoon just after the half-hour mark.
Chambers missed out on the chance to claim their hat-trick but was denied from the spot by keeper Kate Smith ... but she did bag her third in first half-time stoppage time as Sion went in at the break firmly in control.
Despite hitting the woodwork and forcing some good stops from Smith it took Sion until the 76th minute to add to their lead when substitutes Tara O'Connor-Farren and Caoirse Doherty combined with the ball coming off Larne defender Aimee Nellins.
O'Connor-Farren added number six on 82 minutes after making no mistake in front of goal before she completed the scoring five minutes after that.
