GLENS CLOSE GAP TO A POINT
Glentoran Women closed the gap at the top of the Danske Bank Women’s Premiership to league leaders Cliftonville Ladies – who have played one game fewer – to just one point after recording a ten-goal victory at Derry City Women.
A second half hat-trick from substitute Nadene Caldwell helped propel the Glens to victory after captain Jessica Foy, Jennifer McDade, Caragh Hamilton and Imogen Lancaster were all on target in the first half.
Kerry Beattie added another after the break before Caldwell’s hat-trick, with Emma McMaster and Megan Neill completing the comfortable win for the Glens.
