STRIKERS CONSOLIDATE TOP THREE SPOT
Crusaders Strikers consolidated their top three position with a 4-1 victory over Mid Ulster Ladies, but the hosts had to wait until the closing stages of the game to turn the screw.
Emily Wilson’s opener just after half-time was cancelled out by Sharagh Murphy’s fine lob over Crues goalkeeper Maddy Harvey-Clifford to level the score.
Wilson restored the Crues lead with 12 minutes remaining on the clock before late goals from Leontia McVarnock and Amy McGivern put shine on the scoreline.
Wilson opened the scoring just after the break by controlling the ball on the left, cutting in and slotting the ball home past visiting goalkeeper Lillie Crooks.
Mid Ulster responded through Murphy, who recovered from a first half injury to produce a well-taken goal with a finish over Harvey-Clifford, but three late goals saw the points go to the Strikers.
