GLENTORAN TOO STRONG FOR BLUES
A Joely Andrews double propelled Glentoran Women to a four-goal victory at Linfield Ladies.
Chloe McCarron opened the scoring against her former club in the opening minute and her Northern Ireland international teammate Andrews then bagged a hat-trick to complete another big derby win for the Glens.
Glentoran started strongly and Linfield goalkeeoer Currie made a great save from Foy right at the start of the game, but Glentoran were not to be denied as McCarron scored with a great strike from a corner on the left in the first minute.
Linfield had a couple of half chances before Clare Timoney turned the ball into her own net under pressure from Joely Andrews after being set up by Foy.
The second half was fairly even until Andrews did find the net in the 73rd minute with a great strike that went over Currie before Andrews doubled up seven minutes later with a smart finish set up by Hamilton.
