RESILIENT CRUES FIGHT BACK TO WIN
There was a six-goal thriller in Mid Ulster as Crusaders Strikers twice came from behind to record a 4-2 victory at Mid Ulster Ladies.
Sharagh Murphy and Jessica Magee had twice given the home side the lead but Emily Wilson and Morganne Beggs twice levelled before Megan Ingram and Jessica Rea both netted for the visitors to complete the turnaround.
Murphy opened the scoring after taking down goalkeeper Lilie Crooks’s long ball before lobbing Crues shot-stopper Maddy Harvey-Clifford with a cool finish.
The Crues equalised midway through the half after Mid Ulster did not clear a corner but the hosts retook the lead before the break as Magee slotted home coolly after bringing down Murphy’s cross.
The Strikers started strong in the second half and their pressure paid off when Beggs levelled before Ingram’s fine solo work saw her finish past Crooks at the near post before Rea added a late fourth.
