WILSON DOUBLE SETS CRUES ON WINNING PATH
Northern Ireland international Emily Wilson scored either side of the break to help Crusaders Strikers to a three-goal home win over Derry City.
Jonny Tuffey’s side eased to the opening day win with Amy McGivern adding a third with twenty minutes remaining to put the Candystripes to the sword.
The home team came close a few times before Wilson broke the deadlock, high pressing the Derry defence intercepting a short back pass to Derry goalkeeper Clare Friel, rounding the goalkeeper and tucking home.
Wilson added a second from the penalty spot on after being felled in the area on 65 minutes and Amy McGivern headed home from Leah McAvoy's cross for a third six minutes later.
