MATCH BALL FOR WILSON AS CRUES HIT SIX
Crusaders Strikers strengthened their grip on a top three finish as Emily Wilson grabbed a hat-trick as they hit Linfield for six in their fixture at Jordanstown.
Danielle McDowell’s penalty gave the Crues the lead in the 18th minute before Keri Halliday - who netted a hat-trick in her first senior start the previous week at Derry City - struck the Linfield equaliser just after the half-hour mark.
The Crues then were firmly in the ascendancy as Jessica Rea restored their lead a minute before the break before Wilson’s second half hat-trick put Jonny Tuffey’s side in full control.
Wilson hit twice within the first ten minutes of the second period and whilst Rebecca Bassett briefly halved the deficit with 15 minutes remaining, Wilson went on to complete her treble before Holly Otter added a sixth late on.
