GLENTORAN HIT THREE TO STAY TOP
Glentoran Women remain on top of the Danske Bank Women’s Premiership after a three-goal victory over Crusaders Strikers.
The Glens triumphed thanks to second half strikes from Kerry Beattie, Joely Andrews and Lauren Wade against the Strikers, who remain in third.
Neither team found their stride in the first half with Glentoran’s best opportunity falling to Ali McMaster and Amy McGivern of the Strikers causing problems for the home side.
After the regroup at half time, Glentoran came out a different side with Wade supplying the ball from the left for Kerry Beattie to slot home within minutes.
Captain Jess Foy became supplier for the goals of both Andrews and Wade to secure the three points for the hosts.
