REDS MAINTAIN 100% WINNING START
Cliftonville Ladies maintained their 100 percent winning start to the Danske Bank Women’s Premiership campaign on Wednesday night with a hard-fought 1-0 victory at Sion Swifts Ladies.
Marissa Callaghan’s early goal was enough to separate the sides in a competitive match which made it five wins from five for John McGrady’s side - who lead the way by five points at the top.
The decisive moment of the game came in the 17th minute with Callaghan’s run from deep before slotting the ball home enough to settle the points.
It was a tightly-contested game and despite Sion pushing on in the second half, the league leaders secure the points.
