KEEPER McCLURE HITS THE SPOT AS SION GO GOAL CRAZY
Sion Swifts Ladies remain four points clear at the top of the table - although Linfield have two games in hand - following a 12-goal victory at basement side Comber Rec.
Jamaica international goalkeeper Nicole McClure was among the scorers for Sion as she netted from the penalty spot, while Ciara Grant netted a hat-trick.
Kristin Desmond and Michelle McDaid both netted twice for Sion, while Ciana Brogan, Taz McCarter, Moya Feehan and Samantha Brand also were on target.
It was a depleted Comber Rec. Ladies side who faced the league leaders, a team who are unbeaten since the opening day of the campaign.
Sion’s trip to Derry next week will be their final league game of the campaign while Comber must travel to Linfield and host Crusaders - knowing that they must pick up points to avoid bottom spot in the league.
