SION CRUSH REDS TO UNDERLINE TITLE CREDENTIALS
Sion Swifts secured a landmark 12-0 victory over Cliftonville as they aim to secure their first ever Danske Bank Women's Premiership title.
The Strabane-based side are now four points clear of champions Linfield - who have played two games fewer - while they themselves have just two league games left to play.
The Blues were scheduled to be in action tonight against Glentoran but both teams had multiple players involved in international duty with Northern Ireland this week, so that crucial game has been put back to Saturday 14 September.
Ciara Grant opened the scoring with a free-kick against a young and inexperienced Cliftonville team before Donna Kay Henry scored the first of her hat-trick with a mazy dribble, while Kerry Brown scored from distance, while Kristin Desmond added a fourth before the break.
Grant went on to double her tally and Henry claimed her hat-trick while Michelle McDaid came from the bench to score a brace, while Brown added another with a couple of own goals completing the misery for the Reds.
A strong home campaign for Swifts concluded with no defeats.
