McGUINNESS SISTERS ON TARGET FOR BLUES
Linfield made it successive 3-0 victories over Crusaders Strikers in the space of a week thanks once again to goals from the McGuinness sisters.
Kirsty - the Blues captain and the league’s top scorer this campaign - netted twice (moving her up to 21 league strikes in 13 games) while youngster sister Caitlin also found the net for her 10th league goal of the season, the fourth highest in the division.
Linfield took the lead on 20 minutes with a deadly free kick taken by Kirsty McGuinness driving the ball past Nadine Murphy in the Crusaders goal from 25 yards.
The Blues extended their lead in the closing stages as firstly Caitlin McGuinness on 81 minutes converted with a fine header into the top corner of the net past Murphy and then sister Kirsty completed the scoring in injury time (92 minutes) with another fine effort.
