CALLAGHAN DOUBLE HELPS CLIFTONVILLE TO SOLITUDE POINTS
Cliftonville moved to within seven points of third placed Glentoran, having played one game fewer, following a 3-1 home victory over Derry City.
Northern Ireland captain Marissa Callaghan twice found the target while Megan Moran also scored, with Rosie Cunningham registering for the visitors.
Moran and Callaghan were on target to give the Reds a two-goal advantage by half-time, but Derry stayed in the game and the encounter itself was competitive.
With 12 minutes left on the clock, Cunningham halved the arrears with a low strike to give the visitors a deserved goal.
However, there was time for Callaghan to add her second and Cliftonville’s third after link-up play with Billie Simpson.
