BLUES OPEN UP FIVE POINT LEAD AT THE TOP
Linfield strengthened their grip on the leadership of the table as they ran out 9-0 victors at home to Derry City with McGuinness sisters Caitlin and Kirsty netting seven goals between them.
The Blues have now hit a devastating 30 goals across their last three league matches and now have a 17-goal better difference than second-placed Glentoran.
Caitlin McGuinness opened the scoring in the second minute following a threaded pass by Rebecca McKenna, and Caitlin's sister Kirsty doubled the Blues advantage in the tenth minute.
Two minutes later Caitlin grabbed her second and Linfield's third before Rebecca Bassett confidently blasted home number four in the 27th minute.
Captain Kirsty McGuinness scored directly from a corner in the 32nd minute and she completed her hat-trick seven minutes later to slot home from McKenna's cross.
Caitlin then secured her hat-trick with the seventh goal three minutes after the break, and in the 55th minute she was on the scoresheet again after a Casey Howe assist.
Louise McFrederick completed the scoring for the Blues following a free-kick from Kirsty McGuinness to complete an emphatic victory.
