CAPTAIN CALLAGHAN DOUBLES UP AS REDS HIT FOUR
Cliftonville Ladies ran out four-goal victors at Londonderry Park against Comber Rec. Ladies with Northern Ireland captain Marissa Callaghan netting a brace in the victory.
Niamh Connolly's strike was the difference at the break before Leontia McVarnock doubled the advantage, while Callaghan's double ensured the Reds stay in fourth.
Cliftonville broke the deadlock just before the half-hour through Connolly, while four minutes later Comber missed a huge chance to score their first Premiership goal when Lucy Carville's effort was saved.
The Reds were more dominant in the second half - McVarnock's shot went in off the post in the 56th minute and 11 minutes later, a thunderous drive from Callaghan added a third in style.
Callaghan added her second and Cliftonville's fourth in stoppage time after bursting through the heart of the Comber defence.
