BACK TO BACK LEAGUE WINS FOR THE STRIKERS
Crusaders Strikers made it back-to-back victories with a 3-1 victory at the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium against Derry City.
Lauren Cregan scored the Candystripes first league goal of the campaign but a double from Amy McGivern and strike from Amanda Morton gave the points to the North Belfast side.
Lauren Cregan opened the scoring on the 25th mark when she latched onto a long ball played over the top of the Crues defence to produce a fine finish, lobbing goalkeeper Maddy Harvey-Clifford from just inside the box.
The Crues responded well and hit back seven minutes later when McGivern finished from close-range after Derry failed to clear a free-kick.
The visitors took control after the break with Morton’s finish in the 50th minute before McGivern’s second after Courtney Moore’s stunning effort rebounded off the post.
