BLUES HIT THREE TO MAINTAIN PERFECT START
Linfield continued their perfect start in the Danske Bank Women's Premiership with a convincing three-goal victory at Derry City.
Abbie Magee, Rebecca Bassett and captain Kirsty McGuinness were all on target for the Blues, who have won all six league games to date without conceding a goal.
Gemma McGuinness came close for the hosts in the opening stages but the Belfast side took the lead shortly after through Magee's powerful effort past Derry goalkeeper Molly McBride.
Bassett then doubled Linfield's advantage four minutes before the break following a flowing move in which McGuinness ran at pace down the right flank before linking with Magee, who subsequently fed the score.
McGuinness then completed the scoring after half-time with a follow up effort on the rebound from close-range to secure all three points.
