FIVE-STAR CRUES REVERSE LOSING STREAK
Crusaders Strikers ended a run of four straight league defeats with a thumping five-goal victory at Londonderry Park against Comber Rec.
Caitlyn Hamilton, Danielle McDowell and Courtney Moore were all on target for Spike Hill’s side, with Amanda Morton netting a double.
The visitors built up a two-goal lead by half time, with the main difference between the two teams being the quality shown in the final third.
Central midfielder McDowell extended the lead for the Crues nine minutes after the break to effectively seal the points.
Spike Hill's side managed to add two more goals to their tally in the closing minutes to seal a convincing victory - their first in the league since the opening day.
