REDS IN SEVENTH HEAVEN AT SOLITUDE
Cliftonville Ladies did not play last week but a Marissa Callaghan hat-trick saw the Reds breeze to a 7-0 home victory over Comber Rec. Ladies.
Amber Dempster was on target twice for North Belfast side as Rachel McConnell and Toni-Leigh Finnegan also found the net.
The Reds dominated a first half played in torrential rain but despite the greater possession, they could not convert numerous chances as great goalkeeping and the woodwork kept the game scoreless.
Captain Callaghan broke the deadlock on the stroke of half-time following a Megan Weatherall through ball.
That began an avalanche of goals - McConnell doubled the lead 20 seconds after the break, as all seven goals went in across a 38-minute spell.
Amber Dempster netted twice while two more for Callaghan completed the skipper's hat-trick, while Finnegan also found the net with her first senior goal as the Reds completed a seven-goal rout.
