WILSON HAT-TRICK SEALS GLENTORAN CUP WIN
Glentoran Women started their domestic season in style with a resounding eight goal win over Derry City Women in the quarter-finals of the Women's Premiership League Cup.
It took just ten minutes for Emily Wilson to open her account for the new season, and twelve minutes later she added her second goal of the evening.
Derry City's job was made harder against the reigning Sports Direct Women's Premiership champions, as Kaci Deery was sent off on 19 minutes, after her second yellow card.
Captain Jess Foy bagged the third on 37 minutes before three minutes into the second half, Wilson grabbed her hat-trick with Glentoran's fourth.
Kim Turner's substitutions produced more goals for the home side, as on 75 minutes Kascie Weir bagged her first senior goal and Glentoran's fifth.
Veteran Kelly Bailie kick started another campaign for the club with a goal on 80 minutes, before Megan Neill (84 minutes) and Kascie Weir again (87 minutes) took the tally to eight for the night.
