REDS HOLD NERVE TO REACH LEAGUE CUP FINAL
Cliftonville Ladies reached the final of the Women's Premiership League Cup final courtesy of a dramatic penalty shootout defeat of Lisburn Ladies at Solitude.
Scoreless during normal time and extra-time the Reds held their nerve to emerge 5-4 victors on spot-kicks.
Skipper Megan Moran kicked the scoring off with Erin Montgomery, Abbie McHenry and Grace McKimm also all successfully converting before, in sudden death, Roise Thompson knocked home what proved to be the decisive penalty.
Keeper Rachel Norney also made a crucial save during the shoot-out, and dived the correct way as Lisburn sent their final shot wide of the target.
