MORGAN DOUBLE GIVES REDS THE EDGE
Holders Glentoran Women are out of the Women’s Premiership League Cup after falling to defeat at home to Cliftonville Ladies at the semi-final stage.
Both sides were without a host of players due to international duty with Northern Ireland as Fionnula Morgan netted both goals for the Reds.
Morgan opened the scoring in the fifth minute from a free-kick before heading home a corner to double the lead eight minutes later.
Neither team could find their stride with both teams missing players on international duty resulting in a very disjointed game. The away side came out on top progressing to the next round, where they will face Lisburn Ladies.
