CROMPTON BRACE SEES SION THROUGH
Kelly Crompton netted a second half double for Sion Swifts Ladies at Derry City Women after Caoirse Doherty had opened the scoring to secure the visitors a place in the Women’s Premiership League Cup quarter finals.
Doherty opened the scoring from a rebound after Derry goalkeeper Clare Friel saved the initial free-kick before Crompton doubled the lead following a corner.
Sion Swifts set up a last four clash against Linfield Ladies in style with Crompton adding her second and Sion’s third with a finish from a flowing team move in the 73rd minute.
