LATE SNODDY STRIKE SEALS POINT IN SIX GOAL THRILLER
Matthew Snoddy popped up in the fifth minute of stoppage time to earn Glenavon a point against Coleraine in new manager Paddy McLaughlin's first home game at the club.
However, the first half left a lot to be desired for the home side as the Bannsiders took early control of proceedings, with Rhys Campbell pouncing on a loose ball after just six minutes after Gareth Deane had failed to hold Jamie Glackin's effort.
Glackin himself doubled the Coleraine advantage on 13 minutes, as he combined well with Corey Smith to coolly slot past Deane.
Former Bannsider David McDaid brought Glenavon back into the game into the second half, as he got the final touch to Christopher Atherton's effort on 62 minutes.
The Glenavon resurgence looked like lasting only two minutes as Coleraine restored their two goal lead as Cameron Stewart capitalised on slack defending to loop a header from a long free kick over the goalkeeper and home defence.
Stewart turned villain when he gave away a penalty, which McDaid stepped up and dispatched on 77 minutes to set up a grandstand finish at Mourneview Park.
That set the scene for Matthew Snoddy to step up in the fifth minute of stoppage time to fire home Michael O'Connor's knock down and rifle the ball past Max Little to earn Glenavon a crucial Premiership point.
