LARNE EDGE OUT BANNSIDERS
Two second half goals saw Larne edge to victory over Coleraine on Sunday afternoon at Inver Park.
Scoreless at the break, an early Rohan Ferguson save on five minutes to deny Matthew Shevlin turned out to be the best effort of an otherwise cagey first half.
But that all changed within moments of the second half getting underway when, on 47 minutes, Paul O'Neill opened the scoring after getting in front of a defender to tap home Josh Seary's right-sided cross.
Conor McKendry might have doubled the home advantage a few minutes after that only to volley the ball against the crossbar before it was cleared to safety.
However Coleraine hit back to level on 57 minutes following a run down the right from skipper Lyndon Kane that ended with a square ball into the path of Jamie Glackin who made no mistake in sweeping home past Ferguson from 12 yards.
Larne hit back ten minutes after that, though, when McKendry bagged what proved to be the winner with a 25-yard drive which whistled past keeper Max Little.
