FISHER AND McCLEAN ON TARGET FOR GLENS
Two goals early in the second half proved enough for Glentoran to earn the points from Dungannon Swifts' visit to the BetMcLean Oval.
Although scoreless at the break, the Glens could have gone in at half-time on top when - just after the half-hour mark - they were presented with a spot-kick when David Fisher was brought down by Danny Wallace in the area only for Fisher to see his subsequent penalty saved by Swifts keeper Patrick Solis Grogan.
Fisher did atone seven minutes into the second half, however, when the Dungannon defence failed to clear their lines allowed the 22-year-old to send a strong strike past Grogan and into the net.
Then, just three minutes after that, Patrick McClean doubled up from close range after a Danny Amos left-sided corner caused a scramble in the box.
The Glens almost hit a third with around 20 minutes remaining when another Amos corner was directed towards goal by James Singleton only for the crossbar to rescue the Swifts on this occasion.
