'GERS BOUNCE BACK IN STYLE
Goals from Daniel Gibson and Seanan Clucas helped Carrick Rangers put their recent losing streak behind them by defeating Cliftonville at Taylors Avenue.
In their first game since Stuart King's departure - and under the interim stewardship of Mark Surgenor and Curtis Allen - Rangers moved in front on 24 minutes when Clucas teed Gibson up to go past Michael Newberry and beat David Odumosu from an acute angle.
Rangers squandered numerous chances to double their advantage as the first half progressed, and they were almost made pay for them just before the break when Sean Stewart's goalbound effort was only blocked at the last minute by Luke McCullough.
But the home side did grab their second just after the hour when a long throw-in wasn't cleared by the Reds defence with the ball eventually falling for Clucas to slot into the far corner.
