CRUES HIT VILLAGERS WITH LATE GOAL FLURRY
Four goals in the final quarter-of-an-hour saw Crusaders storm to victory over Loughgall at Lakeview Park.
Although scoreless at the break both sides did have their chances in the first half with Harry Franklin threatening for the Crues with an overhead kick while, at the other end, Andrew Hoey worked his way through the defence before firing narrowly wide.
Home keeper Nathan Gartside was then called into action to deal with a Jordan Forsythe header from a free-kick before his opposite number, Jonny Tuffey, had to dive to his right to deal with a Caolan McAleer effort from outside the box.
The Crues had the better of the chances in the second half, but it took them until the 75th minute to find a way through when Jarlath O'Rourke turned the ball home at the back post after Franklin had crossed from the right.
Ross Clarke then doubled up nine minutes after that with an unstoppable shot that went in off the underside of the bar before, on 89 minutes, Forsythe added a third from the spot after Franklin had been brought down as he cut into the area from the right.
Stewart Nixon completed the scoring in added time with a finish past the outstretched Gartside following some confusion in the home defence.
