O'CONNOR HITS GLENAVON WINNER
Michael O'Connor grabbed the only goal of the game as Glenavon ended Crusaders' unbeaten start to the season at Seaview.
The 26-year-old struck on 18 minutes after getting on the end of Peter Campbell's looping cross before bringing the ball forward and finishing confidently past Jonny Tuffey.
And O'Connor almost doubled Glenavon's lead ten minutes after that with a curling effort that fell narrowly off target.
The Crues came close to levelling just before the break when Lewis Barr had a go from distance but the shot was met by a diving save by Gareth Deane to turn the ball wide.
Declan Caddell's side pushed for the equaliser in the second half.
Philip Lowry nodded a Jordan Stewart ball just wide, with Jarlath O'Rourke then seeing a goalbound effort clear off the line by Len O'Sullivan and Jordan Forsythe's follow up was blocked by Campbell.
Later in the game Ross Clarke ran with the ball down the left before bringing it into the area and testing Deane, but the visiting keeper did well to tip it over while, at the other end, David McDaid saw a decent effort successfully gathered by Tuffey.
