CHANCES GALORE BUT IT'S HONOURS EVEN AT SEAVIEW
Crusaders and Cliftonville shared the honours in a hugely entertaining north Belfast derby clash at Seaview.
The game got off to a blistering start when only a perfectly timed Shaun Leppard tackle prevent Philip Lowry from opening the scoring while, at the other end, Jonny Tuffey showed great reflexes to deny Axel Piesold.
That set the pattern for the remainder of the game, with Jonny Addis' last ditch tackle preventing Kieran Offord for getting a shot away before Luke Conlan had an effort deflected behind for a corner.
Reds keeper David Odumosu then produced a stunning double save to first deny Offord, and then Jordan Stewart's follow-up.
But the deadlock was broken in Cliftonville's favour after half-an-hour when Joe Gormley was upended in the box by Lewis Barr with Ryan Curran stepping up to convert the subsequent spot-kick.
It proved to be a short-lived lead, however, after Offord got the goal his efforts deserved just three minutes later with a clever touch getting past Addis before sending a cool finish into the opposite corner.
There was no let up in the action after the break. Jacob Blaney saw a powerful first time shot scrambled away, followed swiftly by another stop from Odumosu to deal with a further Offord attempt.
And both sides had one last chance to secure the points in the closing moments.
A Jordan Forsythe free-kick looked destined to find the net but Odumosu superbly turned it behind with, moment later at the other end, Destiny Ojo being thwarted by a full stretch Tuffey to tip the ball over the top.
