FIVE STAR LARNE MAKE SURE OF TITLE GLORY
Larne turned in a five star performance to defeat Coleraine at Inver Park and retain the league title for the second successive season.
With one head already on the Gibson Cup going into the game, Tiernan Lynch's side wasted no time underlining their dominance when Micheal Glynn fired them in front after a quarter-of-an-hour when the ball fell for him in the area to finish with a looped effort over keeper Martin Gallagher.
Andy Ryan doubled their advantage five minutes from the break. Darren Cole was penalised - and sent-off - for bringing Paul O'Neill down in the area with Ryan stepping up to duly convert from the spot.
O'Neill got on the scoresheet himself just before the break after pouncing on some hesitant defending to curl the ball beyond the reach of Gallagher.
And, not content with that, he hit Larne's fourth a minute into the second half when Chris Gallagher's through ball wasn't cut out and he ran through on goal to slot home from six yards.
Scott Allan then completed the scoring seven minutes from time when he found the corner of the net from an indirect free-kick inside the area.
