CRUES SECURE EURO PLAY-OFF ADVANTAGE
Crusaders defeated Coleraine at the Showgrounds, securing a fourth place finish and home advantage in the forthcoming European play-offs.
Daniel Larmour opened the scoring for Stephen Baxter's side on 21 minutes after turning the ball home following a scramble from a Ross Clarke corner.
They might have doubled their advantage late in the first half only for Stewart Nixon to see his curling effort blocked on the line.
But the Crues did go in at the break with a two-goal cushion after Jordan Forsythe converted a spot-kick awarded after Adam Lecky had brought down Lyndon Kane.
The Bannsiders came closest to pulling one back after the break whe Conor McKendry looked to find the far corner only for Clarke to be in position to stop the ball on the line.
