BLUES HOPES HIT BY LAST GASP EQUALISER
Linfield and Coleraine battled to an equal share of four goals amid sensational last minute scenes at Windsor Park.
Coleraine created the best chances throughout the first half with teenage debutant Alfie Gaston perhaps coming closest after cutting in from the left before sending an angled effort towards goal only for the ball to sail narrowly over.
But the Bannsiders did go in at the break in front after Josh Carson teed Jamie McGonigle up to fire low into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.
However Linfield hit back with aplomb early in the second half.
Matthew Fitzpatrick levelled for the Blues on 52 minutes when he got his head to Kirk Millar's cross before, six minutes after that, Chris Shields levelled from the spot to fire David Healy's side in front.
That was how it stayed until the 90th minute and beyond before, deep deep into stoppage time, Coleraine snatched the equaliser after Lee Lynch sent the ball over for Matthew Shevlin to nod home - a goal that could well prove to have a major impact on the title race.
