LATE, LATE WINNER PUTS LARNE IN CONTROL
Larne moved three points clear at the top of the table following a breath taking finale to this clash with Glentoran at the BetMcLean Oval.
Tiernan Lynch's side moved in front as early as the eighth minute after running onto Chris Gallagher's pass, taking the ball inside Paddy McClean and firing low past Aaron McCarey.
The Glens might have levelled soon after but Shay McCartan saw his initial effort blocked by Rohan Ferguson before blazing the rebound over the bar.
At the other end Leroy Millar was thwarted by McCarey with Joe Thomson unable to make the most of the subsequent loose ball.
But Glentoran did find their equaliser just before the hour, albeit in somewhat bizarre and fortuitous circumstances when a McCartan ball into the area was completely miscued by Larne defender Cian Bolger and ended up looping over Ferguson and ito his own net.
Ryan came close to restoring Larne's lead when his header at the near post came back off the underside of the bar before being scrambled clear.
However the defending champions did bag their winner five minutes into stoppage time after Bolger delivered the ball into the area with home defender Jonathan Russell only succeeding in turning it past McCarey as he attempted to make a desperate clearance.
