RAMPANT LARNE HIT EIGHT PAST REDS
Larne trounced Cliftonville in a sensational performance at Inver Park to return to the top of the table.
Tiernan Lynch's side moved in front as early as the tenth minute when Lee Bonis won the ball from Odhran Casey down the left before cutting inside to fire beyond David Odumosu.
Aaron Donnelly made it 2-0 on 19 minutes with a thundering finish after Sean Graham's corner was only partially cleared.
It got worse for the Reds just before the half-hour mark when they were reduced to ten men after Ronan Hale picked up his second caution of the game for dissent.
Andy Ryan added a third for Larne on 41 minutes after making the most of some hesitant defending to fire into the top corner ... and the Scotsman doubled his tally in first half stoppage time with a glancing header from Mark Randall's free-kick.
Not content with that Ryan struck again just nine minutes after the break for his hat-trick goal after combining with Bonis to beat Odumosu once again.
The Reds bagged what was little more than scant consolation on the hour courtesy of a Ben Wilson spot-kick, awarded after Paul O'Neill fouled Casey, but Leroy Millar restored Larne's five goal cushion just over ten minutes later with a poked finish past the visiting keeper.
Another followed moments later, with Joe Thomson getting on the scoresheet after getting the final touch to another Ryan shot through a crowded goalmouth.
Chris Gallagher then completed the scoring in stoppage time with perhaps the best of the evening, a tremendous strike from the edge of the area to give Odumosu no chance.
